Feint: a tactic of your adversary
Our adversaries will use a feint to try to distract us or cause us to react. We are to be aware of this device.
Feint: An offensive movement that resembles an attack to draw a reaction from an opponent, usually to open a line for a true attack.

You must stay alert and on guard at all times, not in fear but knowing that you have the ability to defend and counter attack. Some feints are obvious while others are very convincing.
You will never know if the attack is a feint or the real, so you must always defend every attack. You must not overreact on either an obvious or convincing feint, keep your movements small and tight as always, never reach for your defensive parries, and always keep your focus on the adversary and not his attacks.
Jesus being our example, we can see in Matthew chapter four, that devil through many attacks at Jesus. Jesus never overreacted, defended every attack using small pinpointed parries (scriptures), and keep his eye on the adversary. Jesus was able to defeat his adversary in this exchange (bout), but the battle was not over. He kept his eye open looking for the return of on the adversary.
