Kyle “Tank” Wilder – Lead Instructor

I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior in the fall of 1986 and over the years have not ever turned aside from Him. I have been in church leadership for most of that time, under various pastors. I have been an elder in my local church, and a licensed minister for more than a decade serving in both youth and children’s ministries.

Fencing was something I always wanted to do. In the spring of 2005, my wife discovered Tri-Blade Fencing. We both learned Foil, Epee and Saber fencing over the following year. Within a few years, I began assisting the lead instructor in teaching new fencers all the basic moves. As my skills grew, so did my responsibilities within the club. Until at one point,
the lead instructor went out of the state for a month, entrusting the entire club along with one other to my oversight.

Accomplishments:

  • 1000+ hours of personal fencing
  • Over 500 hours of instructing
  • Board Treasurer of Tri-Blade Fencing Academy
  • Developed Public School fencing program
  • Co-Instructor – Homeschool Partnership fencing class
  • Co-Instructor – High School P.E. fencing class

Stacy Wilder – Associate Instructor

I was introduced to Jesus when I was seven years old, at my church. I fell in love with Him, and have served Him my entire life. I also have been in church leadership for most of my adult life. For more than a decade I have served in both children’s and youth ministries. I have a desire to help young people to know their true identity in God, and walk out their God-given designed purpose.

In the spring of 2005, I began fencing with my husband, at Tri-Blade Fencing. I was able to learn both Foil and Epee and really enjoyed fencing. Unfortunately, after about two years, I had to stop due to some wrist issues. Once my husband and I decided to develop this ministry, I began working on my wrist strength and began to fence again predominantly left-handed.
