Most believer have taken their identity form what society have put upon us, we are a father of mother, a boss or employee, a student or a teacher, a child or adult. There is nothing wrong with these identities, but most of them will transform and or shift. what we really need the our true identity in Christ that identity will never change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> What does the bible say about your identity.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p><sup>17<\/sup>Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is <strong>a new creation<\/strong>. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. <sup>18<\/sup>All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; <sup>19<\/sup>that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. <sup>20<\/sup>Therefore, <strong>we are ambassadors<\/strong> for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. <sup>21<\/sup>For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.<\/p><cite> <p>2 Corinthians 5:17-21<\/p><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>If we have accepted Jesus, we are a new creation, we have been made new it does not matter what we have done or what has been done to us. We have all gone though thing some more tragic then others but those thing and issue are not our identity any more. re are NEW CREATION.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are called <strong>ambassadors<\/strong>, so I&#8217;m an ambassador what do I do&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An ambassador is the Present&#8217;s highest-ranking representative to a specific nation or international organization abroad. All ambassadors officially represent the U.S. government on behalf of the president in treaty negotiations, immigration discussions, foreign aid projects and humanitarian aid programs. An ambassador represent our nation in the absences of our Presidents.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As an ambassador for Christ, we are to represent Him in His absents. In the book of Luke Jesus told everyone in the synagogue what His duties were when he quoted from the book of Isaiah <em>\u201cThe Spirit of the Lord\u00a0\u00a0is upon me, because he has anointed me to\u00a0<strong>proclaim good news to the poor<\/strong>. He has sent me to <strong>proclaim liberty to the captives<\/strong> and\u00a0recovering of <strong>sight to the blind<\/strong>,\u00a0to set at <strong>liberty those who are oppressed<\/strong>, to <strong>proclaim the year of the Lord\u2019s favor<\/strong>.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The above passage is just one that shows your personal identity and there are more identity statement through-out the Word of God. You also have a corporate identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p><sup>9<\/sup>&#8230;you are a <strong>chosen race<\/strong>, a <strong>royal priesthood<\/strong>, a <strong>holy nation<\/strong>, a <strong>people for his own possession<\/strong>, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. <sup>10<\/sup>Once you were not a people, but now you are God\u2019s people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.<\/p><cite>1 Peter 2:9-10<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>We are one! together we a chosen race Galatians 3:27-28 <em>&#8220;For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.&#8221;<\/em>  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Knowing these scriptures don&#8217;t make them your identity you have to apply them and begin walking in them to make them your true identity. Peter had his identity wrapped up in the thing he did for and with Jesus and not in Jesus. Peter was there from the beginning and saw everything Jesus did.  Peter served and followed Jesus everywhere he could.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Mark 5 &#8211;  Peter was with Jesus as he raised a dead child<\/li><li><strong>Matt 14 &#8211; Peter walks on the water<\/strong><\/li><li>Mark 8 &#8211; Peter has the revelations of Jesus being the Christ and just a little later was told by Jesus to &#8220;get behind me Satan&#8221;<\/li><li>Mark 9 &#8211; Peter was there when Jesus transfigured\u00a0and Peter want to build dwelling <\/li><li>John 13:67 So Jesus said to\u00a0the twelve,\u00a0\u201cDo you want to go away as well?\u201d\u00a0Simon Peter answered him, \u201cLord, to whom shall we go? You have\u00a0the words of eternal life,\u00a0and\u00a0we have believed, and have come to know, that\u00a0you are\u00a0the Holy One of God.\u201d<\/li><li>John 13:6 &#8211; Peter at the Passover Feast did not what Jesus to was his feet<\/li><li>John 13:36 &#8211; Jesus told Peter that he would deny him<\/li><li>John 18:10 &#8211; Then Simon Peter,\u00a0having a sword, drew it and struck the high priest\u2019s servant\u00a0and cut off his right ear.<\/li><li>John 18:17 &#8211; Peter denies Jesus &#8211; The servant girl at the door said to Peter, \u201cYou also are not one of this man\u2019s disciples, are you?\u201d He said, \u201cI am not.\u201d<\/li><li>John 18:25 &#8211; Peter denies Jesus two more times<\/li><li>John 20 &#8211; Peter was the first disciple to here the tomb was empty<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In chapter John 21 you see Peter going back to his old identity, a fisherman, and other disciples following. sometime when you have gone through a hart time it is easy to fall back in to those old identities the have placed on you by the world.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p><sup>4<\/sup>Just as day was breaking, Jesus stood on the shore; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. <sup>5<\/sup>Jesus said to them, \u201cChildren, do you have any fish?\u201d They answered him, \u201cNo.\u201d <sup>6<\/sup>He said to them, \u201cCast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.\u201d So they cast it, and now they were not able to haul it in, because of the quantity of fish. <sup>7<\/sup>That disciple whom Jesus loved therefore said to Peter, \u201cIt is the Lord!\u201d When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment, for he was stripped for work, and threw himself into the sea. <sup>8<\/sup>The other disciples came in the boat, dragging the net full of fish, for they were not far from the land, but about a hundred yards off. <sup>9<\/sup>When they got out on land, they saw a charcoal fire in place, with fish laid out on it, and bread. <sup>10<\/sup>Jesus said to them, \u201cBring some of the fish that you have just caught.\u201d <sup>11<\/sup>So Simon Peter went aboard and hauled the net ashore, full of large fish, 153 of them. And although there were so many, the net was not torn. <sup>12<\/sup>Jesus said to them, \u201cCome and have breakfast.\u201d Now none of the disciples dared ask him, \u201cWho are you?\u201d They knew it was the Lord. <sup>13<\/sup>Jesus came and took the bread and gave it to them, and so with the fish. <sup>14<\/sup>This was now the third time that Jesus was revealed to the disciples after he was raised from the dead.<\/p><cite>John 21:4-14 ESV<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>by the goodness of God Jesus was right there to reset his identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p><sup>15<\/sup>When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, \u201cSimon, son of John, do you love me more than these?\u201d He said to him, \u201cYes, Lord; you know that I love you.\u201d He said to him, <strong>\u201cFeed my lambs.\u201d<\/strong> <sup>16<\/sup>He said to him a second time, \u201cSimon, son of John, do you love me?\u201d He said to him, \u201cYes, Lord; you know that I love you.\u201d He said to him,<strong> \u201cTend my sheep.\u201d<\/strong> <sup>17<\/sup>He said to him the third time, \u201cSimon, son of John, do you love me?\u201d Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, \u201cDo you love me?\u201d and he said to him, \u201cLord, you know everything; you know that I love you.\u201d Jesus said to him, <strong>\u201cFeed my sheep.<\/strong> <sup>18<\/sup>Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were young, you used to dress yourself and walk wherever you wanted, but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will dress you and carry you where you do not want to go.\u201d <sup>19<\/sup>(This he said to show by what kind of death he was to glorify God.) And after saying this he said to him, <strong>\u201cFollow me.\u201d<\/strong><\/p><cite>John 21:15-19 ESV<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Jesus gave Peter purpose and vision by reminding Peter to feed and tend the people. Then Jesus told him him one more thing <strong>&#8220;Follow Me&#8221;<\/strong>. This remind Peter what Jesus said to him the first time the met, \u201cFollow me, and I will make you become fishers of men.\u201d That Peter identity was not a fisherman but and ambassador to\u00a0proclaim good news, and liberty to the captives, sight to the blind,\u00a0liberty those who are oppressed, and the year of the Lord\u2019s favor.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. love thy neighbor as thyself.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We all need to and must know our true identity to be able to accomplish the things God has for us to do.
